The Body Knows

The body knows when you're hungry. Your stomach starts making noises. encouraging a bystander to offer you a snack.
The body knows when you're tired. Your head quietly lands on the shoulder of a fellow passenger, who can't help but bear with it.
But what I've learned in the past years is that the body forgives. You know the body has your priorities sorted when you automatically take the hand of your beloved one who you shouted at just five minutes ago.
The body knows when you're in love. When you get in a fight and fall asleep on opposite sides of the bed, it quietly hugs the other at night. You wake up and all there's left is to forget about the argument. It's too childish to let go and pretend you're still mad at him/her because admit it, that hug is the sole reason why you smiled in your sleep. The body knew.
